CAT LADY

Dress: Zara Jacket: TopShop Boots: Asos (similar) Hat: Zara

Okay girls, this might just be one of my favorite looks ever. I’m obsessed with animal prints at the moment, Plus wide dresses are the best for a little Sunday road trip with the kids. Talk about a winning combination. I can’t wait for spring so I can wear these type of dresses more often!

I hope that you’ll like this look as much as I do (or at least a little), thank you so much for stopping by and have a gorgeous week! xx,

A LITTLE (CHECKERED) SECRET

Dress: Zara   Blazer: Zara   Shoes: Dr. Martens   Bag: Marc Jacobs  Sunnies: Karen Walker

Happy Thursday guys!! Today I’m happy to share with you yet another outfit I wore at NYFW  featuring this checkered blazer I got at Zara men. Yes! you’ve read it right this blazer is Zara Men! Here, I just let you in on a little secret of mine, so many little treasures you will find in the men’s department! haha. So girls if you wanna get a blazer or any other piece at the men’s section for yourselves, well I personally think it’s totally ok. I’m a tomboy at heart, and I love the boxy cut men’s clothing. I also love the idea of making summer dresses work during the winter by throwing on a blazer as a much needed layer It really adds a toughness to a simple feminine look. xx

GOOD VIBES

Feels like spring is here in NY this week and we are loving it! I’m sure the low temps will be back in a blink of an eye so we are cherishing every bit of sunshine we can get. My boys are such outdoor kids, living in an urban surrounding will not stop them from being boys, they are always running around and chasing each other. I try to take them outside as much as possible even if it is just for a few minutes, the fresh air is soooo good for their little souls. Back in the summer when we were still living in Israel we lived in the smallest place 15 km away from the nearest town. We spend most of our time outside, collecting sticks, climbing trees, riding bikes and falling asleep on hammocks. Living in New York things are so different, I can’t imagine ever letting my children out of the door to roam freely like before. Their little hands get black with city grime, instead of proper mud and they barley even blink to the sound of a police car siren.

I do miss that little place where the sky seems to swallow you whole every time you step out the front door and where you can literally count the stars at night. I wish my children’s childhood can be more of that just because it is so relaxed and stress free. Sometimes Yosef, my oldest who is 5.5 will say “Why can’t we play outside like we used to, Mommy?” – a little blade to my already guilty heart.

Yet, despite all of this, New York does amaze me. I love the energy, the million umbrellas in the rain and the idea that here you could be anyone you want to be, I really wouldn’t change it for anything! xx,

MY FIRST NYFW

Dress & sweater: Zara   Boots: Steve Madden   Scarf: Asos   Bag: Celine Hat: Lack Of Colors

Fashion Week. I have one thing to say. SO. MUCH. INSPIRATION! One of the things I was really excited about when we moved to NY was attending nyfw. The first day didn’t go as planed, we got a snow blizzard and school got canceled. I’m not complaining one bit about this, snow days are something I really love, we just stayed in our pajamas most of the day and played in the snow for a while until we couldn’t feel our fingers anymore. Sunday ended up being my first day at nyfw. It was a rainy and cold day but it was still such a wonderful experience just as I imagined it to be, from great fashion shows to all the photographers capturing the street style looks after the shows. I spotted some really cool outfits, I’m sure I will see their images all over the fashion sites. I hope you like my slip dress and blanket look as well as all my Insta stories (rivka_zerbib) from this fun week! xx

WIND & UMBRELLAS

Dress: Nordstrom Jacket & pants: Zara Shoes: Aldo Bag: Marc Jacobs

Socks: Happy Socks Sunnies: Karen Walker

Hi friends! We (my husband) shot these images last week when it was quite windy in NYC as you can see, I could barely hold my cup without fearing it would go flying goodbye. I didn’t know it can get so windy here in NYC but apparently the wind is often much more intense between the skyscrapers. For a day around the city I was wearing a super comfy outfit that was casual but still put together with a black blazer. We all know wind and umbrellas do not belong together but on this particular day they did. When I say umbrellas I mean these umbrella socks, how cute are they? I can never walk around bare foot, like I said here during the winter I love wearing cozy socks, I actually put these socks on when I got out of bed in the morning just to keep my feet warm, I didn’t think for a second I would wear them outside but then as I was getting dressed I thought to myself- hmm why not?! I love it when an outfit just naturally comes together without over thinking it.

Hope you guys will like these few images, thank you for stopping by today and lots of love! xx

FINDING THE PERFECT ONE

There are so many choices when it comes to finding the right products for your baby, it can even get overwhelming sometimes! Everyone has their preference about the products they love. My baby’s skin is a bit sensitive and I was looking for something super gentle on her skin. I recently discovered the brand Weleda and after using some of there products for a few weeks now it is safe to say they are amazing and I especially loved the fact that they are not using harsh chemicals so I don’t need to worry about my baby’s sensitive skin getting irritated.  A few thing I always want to have on hand is baby lotion and diaper rash cream which they both did not disappoint!

I would love to hear what are some of the baby products you can’t live without! xx

ICE SKATING ON WINTER BREAK

On Yosef: Coat, pants & boots: Zara Sweater: Primark

On me: Coat: H&M (similar) Skirt: Zara & hat: Zara (similar)

A lot of things surprised me when we moved to NY, one of them was winter break. You see we don’t have winter break in Israel, it is just a long never ending few months of school, as a student I would only dream of a few days off in the middle of the endless cold winter. This morning, Yosef my oldest son went back to school after a 10 day winter break. I was looking forward to these few days off only to spend some extra time just me and him. Let me tell you we both enjoyed every minute of it! We had some lazy days in pj’s at home and other days full of outdoor winter activities. One day we woke up bright and early, bundled up and started our day visiting daddy at work, our next stop was a visit to The National Museum of the American Indian (I probably enjoyed it more than he did) and our last and favorite stop was ice skating at Bryant Park. This was Yosef’s first time ice skating, he started off a bit nervous and was afraid to fall, he refused to let go of the side bar for one second and wanted to leave after just 3 rounds. I told him how great he is doing for the first time ice skating and I managed to convince him to try just a bit more (I did bribe him with some tik-taks). Finally, he let go of the side bar and got so into it, even after two hours he didn’t want to leave! I loved our little conversations throughout the day, 5-year-olds are an endless source of “why” and “how” questions. They have an insatiable desire to understand how everything works, so I did have some explaining to do about how elevators work as we went up 25 floors to daddy’s office or attempt to explain the concept of numbers when he asked if 100 is a big or small number.

It is amazing what a 5 year old can teach us about life, the smallest things excites them, I always wonder why we become so darn serious as adults. Not that I want to be a 5 year old again but this day more than just being a fun day with my child was a great reminder to laugh every day and try new things. xx

FUR FOR DATE NIGHT

Vest: Mango Dress: Rivka Zerbib Boots: Vince Camuto Bag: Celine

Is there anything better than getting dressed in less than three minutes,  instead of standing in front of your closet, changing clothes for the tenth time, and finally looking in frustration at the pile of clothes gathered up on your bed? A fur vest is my solution to this problem! As a mom of three, after the usual evening ‘ceremony’,  I don’t have more than a few minutes to get myself ready for a date night, therefore this fur vest is really the perfect solution. I love how versatile a fur vest is, it looks great with so many different styles. I can’t wait to try it with a printed maxi dress for an ornamental bohemian look. Of course, for ideological or monetary reasons, one may opt for faux fur rather than genuine fur, it looks just as good, and you can keep a clean conscience. xx

ON THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE

IMG_8581 IMG_8627 IMG_8641 IMG_8625 IMG_8621 IMG_8649 IMG_8672 IMG_9518 IMG_8554 IMG_8640 IMG_8578

I’m wearing: Dress (worn as skirt): Rivka Zerbib Sweater: Nordstrom Boots: Steeve Madden Hat: Lack of colors Bag: Rebecca Minkoff

Dikla is wearing: Skirt: & Other Stories Boots: Vince Camuto

Hello from the top of one of New York’s staple tourist spots – The Brooklyn Bridge- Isn’t it just so photogenic?! I love exploring new places and although I was in the area of the Brooklyn Bridge a bunch of times, I never actually took the time to walk ON the bridge. My friend, Dikla (from the blog Girl Plus Two) who lives in NY for years joined me and we spent a Friday morning together just girls, no kids tagging along (and there are 6 kids between the both of us!! no joke).

Dikla and I connected on Instagram months ago while I was still living in Israel, we both have 3 kids, two boys and a girl exactly the same ages, (how crazy is that?!) and we just clicked right away and stayed in touch since then. Little did I know, a few months later we would be standing together in NY hanging out like we know each other for years. Stepping out of my comfort zone and leaving everything- my country I love so much, my home, my friends and my whole family and moving to anther country is no joke, especially with little kids. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t. We all get lonely from time to time, It makes a huge difference when you have that someone who is like minded, who understands where you came from, speaks the same language as you do and can just be there when things get overwhelming. Life’s too short to stay in one place, literally and metaphorically, I love trying out new things and new places but it always helps to have a supportive system around you. Today I am grateful for this rad technology surrounding us, especially this little app called Instagram if not for that I’m not sure we would have ever crossed path but I am so happy we did! xx,
