I scored this mango dress on sale with the thought of wearing it on the next heat wave, which to my surprise, rolled around sooner than I thought. Well, summer is here to stay and I have zero interest in dressing in anything but easy breezy summer dresses! Don’t know why my skin is so pale, you’d think as an Israeli I’d be a bit tanner, but hey, my mom’s dutch so here’s my excuse 🙂

These weeks right before summer heat kicks in are probably my favorite weeks of the year. The nights are still chilly but you know this chill heralds the coming of long summer nights, bbq’s with friends, hanging with the kids at the pool and a hole lot of fun! This day, in particular, was partly cloudy which offered me the last chance to wear this knit skirt before I put it away for good.

The beach. My absolute favorite place to be. It’s more the ocean that I love rather than the beach. Anytime I have some extra time or I need some time off to relax I’ll always head to the ocean. I’ll just sit there in a quiet spot on the warm sand or on the rocks and watch the waves as they crash on the beach, the wind blowing on my face and the endless blue landscape. That is when I get that feeling like I am the smallest little creature in an infinite world, but at the same time I can be anything I want, I let myself dream as if I will live forever.

I love this quote I once came across “I want to be like water. I want to slip through fingers, but hold up a ship.”  xx,

When in doubt, there’s one look I know I can always fall back on.

A simple white shirt & black skirt are probably my all time favorite go to look. black and white screams timeless, sophisticated, but mostly… easy. Black and white outfits are effortless. Everything matches. Whether it’s all white, all black you can always throw in a pop of color with your heels or bag! This look takes me down memory lane to middle school where on special occasions we got to show up in black & white. As simple as it is, those days felt festive and different in a good way! xx,

In my opinion, there’s a time where people are universally happy and that is on a beautiful crisp summer day. There’s nothing better than spending a day in beautiful warm sunny weather.  These photos were taken back in NYC where as you can see the weather was pretty chilly and windy. As I was walking the busy streets of NYC I couldn’t help but feel so grateful I live in a place where the weather is nice and warm most of the year! xx,

It took me a good minute or two to warm up to wearing denim on denim, it felt heavy and over the top at first. Finally I have started to figure out a way to make it work for me and one of those ways is by teaming up dark and light instead of the same toned denim. xx,

I never thought I’d say this but I’m loving mules, I’m actually very excited about this slip in spring shoe this season, the chunky heel make them very comfortable to be in for hours, I could assure that this is going to be my favorite pair of heels this summer!

Right in about two hours we are leaving to the airport and heading home after a month of travels. Instead of packing like a normal person would do I am browsing through the many photos we’ve snapped during are stay in The Netherlands and NY. I always pack at the very last minute, It’s not that I’m procrastinating or something it’s just that If I start packing three days earlier I’m just going to keep putting things in and out and change my mind about what I’m taking which basically means wasting three days! So, my tip to you is pack a few hours before you leave. I mean don’t miss your flight or whatever just be focused and efficient. It works for me! xx,

My little family and I are back in NY and it feels good! Every year we come to NY for a few weeks. We stay with family, catch up, have fun and just make good memories. I try to stay away from all the typical cliche’ spots such as Times Square, Empire State Building etc. Instead I much rather walk around and search for awesome hidden cool spots and basically get lost in the big city. One thing I’ll always love going back to is central park – the little country girl in me always enjoys a bit of nature in a block of steel aka NYC.
